Meet the Client
Health Mart Pharmacy is a large organization that consists of locally-owned pharmacies throughout the country. Jeannie and Brian Marr own two of them, located in Eugene and Creswell, Oregon: River Road Health Mart Pharmacy and Creswell Health Mart Pharmacy. In addition to the basic services that most pharmacies provide (prescription refill/transfers, immunizations, etc.), River Road and Creswell Health Mart Pharmacies go above and beyond for their customers. They can mail medications to anywhere in Oregon and they provide local delivery. They also have a fully-stocked drugstore for over-the-counter items and a gift shop filled with home decor, unique gifts, and more.
We began working with Jeannie and Brian during an exciting time for their business: the opening of their Creswell location! The main problem with their existing website was that it only reflected their location in Eugene, and now that they were expanding, they needed a website that presented both of their locations in a clear and beautiful way. In addition, the look and overall functionality of their existing website were outdated. It didn’t reflect all of their services that they had developed over their time in business and was in need of a modern “refresh”.
Our process began with becoming familiar with Health Mart Pharmacy’s brand and mission. The River Road and Creswell pharmacies are family-owned, with a strong emphasis on their customers’ satisfaction. To reflect that, we designed a website that embodied the welcoming and caring atmosphere that customers experience when they walk in. Using new, high-quality photography of both locations, our graphic designers created an eye-catching experience for users as they browse the website, complementing the expanded and optimized content for each of their services. Their pharmacies are unique in that they deliver to homes, offices, and retirement facilities – so that was an important theme that we highlighted throughout the website.

Meet the Client
Brothers Cleaning Services is a residential and commercial cleaning company located in Springfield, Oregon. They have been providing exceptional cleaning services to Lane County for over 40 years!
One obstacle Brothers Cleaning faced was that they had two different websites, with totally separate brands. One website represented their residential services, while the other highlighted their commercial services, usually resulting in confused customers and missed opportunities. They needed to tie both sites into one central, easy-to-find website that clearly represented both services. Both of their websites were also outdated visually, and not mobile-friendly.
For 10 years in a row, Lane County residents have named Brothers Cleaning Services the top carpet cleaning company in the Readers Choice Awards..
It was decided that the two logos currently in use for commercial and residential cleaning were not only outdated, they didn’t look like they belonged to the same company. We knew, however, that the carpet cleaning logo was most recognized (and widely used across marketing platforms as well as on fleet vehicles). To help ease the transition between old and new, we used a similar concept for Brothers Cleaning main logo – refreshing and modernizing it – and then carrying elements through the entire family of logos.
The first thing you’ll see on this website is Tony, the owner of Brothers, in a video introducing his company. We knew after talking to Tony about his business that this kind of video would be extremely effective.

We worked in collaboration with Chris Elliot to have a video made and it worked! Since launch, analytics have shown that the video is noticed and viewed often. People have given Tony lots of positive feedback and visitors who see the video report being compelled to choose Brothers for their service project.
The main goal of any website is to be found in search and this was certainly accomplished. As with all UplinkSpyder websites, search engine optimization is foundational and as a result of our work in this area, Brothers’ traffic has increased every week since launch. Organic search accounts for a vast majority of that traffic and they place at the top of results for almost every keyword search.
The second goal of any website is an excellent user experience and we’ve ensured this through navigation that is easy to use, excellent placement of elements on every page and awesome content. Tony wanted content on the site to be “jazzy but not cheesy”, and so we worked with him through several rounds until finding the perfect balance. We feel the story told on the website very well carries through in what the customer will experience from their first phone call onward through their service and clearly reflects Brothers’ core values, which is such an important part of branding.
We also organized a professional photo-shoot with Wendy Gregory Photography – and we highly recommend this for all websites. Investing in professional images helps us to create a stunning visual presentation and really elevates polish and professionalism.

Our First Bridal Company Website (+ Two Others)
K&B Bridals is a bridal shop located in Baltimore, Maryland. They sell beautiful wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, and more. Their focus is on “styling the modern bride,” and their selection of gowns and accessories includes some of those most sought-after designer brands. K&B is affiliated with Moore & Co. Event Stylists, and both are part of the Be More Inspired Wedding Collective. UplinkSpyder was honored to build all three websites & assist with marketing for all three businesses, thanks to the confidence & repeat business of owner Bridget Moore.
When we first began working with Bridget and her team, the K&B website was not functioning well. While it was visually appealing – it lacked crucial components which were affecting K&B’s success online. The website was not mobile-friendly, which proved to be an issue for K&B customers. The content was thin, making it hard for search engines to find them. Additionally, Bridget wanted K&B Bridals’ brand to shine on her website in the same way it does at her retail location in Maryland.
Bridget had previously worked with web developers who didn’t understand marketing or her business. Given that she’s running three businesses at once, she really needed a web & marketing team that was ready & able to stick with her along the way as things change. She needed a team to concentrate on keeping her web presence growing and who could help her keep up with new trends and constant updates. She wanted support with blogging, email marketing, online ads, design, and whatever came up along the way. Of course, this was the perfect job for certain “spyders.” 😉
After wrapping our heads around K&B’s inventory, the functionalities needed, and user needs for navigation, we formulated a mock up and plan that Bridget loved. It helped that one of our Marketing Managers was recently engaged, making her especially excited to begin combing through tons of competitive websites, bridal gown photos and other materials.
We expanded K&B’s website content, adding more detail and a strong keyword structure, which is vital for search engine optimization. Each graphic was carefully crafted to create a gorgeous look for the entire website, reflecting the essence of K&B Bridals’ brand. The site was adjusted to also look fabulous on mobile devices.

As mentioned previously, we also developed websites for two other affiliated businesses. They are amazing in their own right and have a continuity between them. We especially love Be More Inspired because the concept of a wedding collective is just so cool and we were able to work with all of the businesses in that collective and make each shine through that site.
Before building a site for Bridget, she approached us about helping with Facebook ads and that is how we became acquainted. We still manage her main funnel for those ads, which generate leads that link directly to Infusionsoft. We also help occasionally with email marketing and provide monthly support for continually improving search engine optimization on the K&B and Moore & Co. websites.
Meet the Client – KJL Interior Design
KJL Interior Design opened in 1991 and is owned and founded by Kathy J. LaMontagne. KJL provides top-of-the-line interior design for residential homes and commercial businesses. Kathy has completed countless projects in Eugene, Oregon, and surrounding areas, making her one of the most well-known interior designers in the area. She specializes in all styles of design, from classic to contemporary and beyond. She and her team can transform any ordinary space into something phenomenal.
Before our redesign, Kathy’s website was extremely outdated. She’d had the same website for over 20 years which was astounding. However, it lacked the diverse and beautiful design that an interior designer’s website should have, and also contained a lot of old information. Kathy is well-known in the area, but her search engine results were not reflecting that. Enter UplinkSpyder.
Using high-quality photos of KJL’s work, we were able to create a striking new website design that helped connect potential consumers immediately to the amazing product Kathy and her team delivers. We wanted you to feel, when you visit her homepage, like you’re entering a newly-renovated home that’s both welcoming and exciting. Additionally, we expanded her content to better reflect her business, and used best practices for organic search so that Kathy would come up first in searches (and she does!)

The Best Result:
The ultimate goal for any business is that a website investment will result in increased business, and while this is our aim with every client, rarely do we see the immediate effect in the way we saw it with KJL. They are growing by leaps and bounds! It’s exciting to see.
During the development of Kathy’s new site, we were also able to create a new brand that better represents Kathy today. We love her new logo as it really does reflect both the class and warmth Kathy exudes.
Additionally, we advised Kathy that while the website would help her business grow (and it has!), to achieve some of her long-term goals, she would want to have a more active social presence. We also convinced her to gradually grow her email list and send her amazing advice out to clients and friends, which adds to her notoriety and reputation. As such, we provide weekly social media support and monthly email marketing pieces, both of which have grown over time and are quite well received.
As with all websites we produce, we also helped to optimize internet directories so that no matter where KJL was found, she would be seen in the same light.
Meet the Client
Henderson Aviation is a helicopter aviation company that has been serving Oregon for over 70 years. They have two locations in Junction City and Prineville, and provide various services ranging from aerial photography to firefighting; sightseeing to search and rescue. Through its many years of experience, Henderson Aviation prides itself on efficient, reliable, and safe aviation services to all its customers.
Henderson Aviation’s website was outdated with inaccurate information. Because of their years of experience and success in the industry, they acquired a large amount of customer testimonials and photography. They wanted a modern and innovative website to showcase these materials and they needed the site built before the busy fire season arrived. John Henderson was concerned about search results, also and being found for all of his services, not just some of them. Additionally, Henderson needed a reliable source for timely & professional maintenance in the future.
Our first step was to revamp the Henderson logo to give it a fresh look that would match the new website. Owner John Henderson didn’t want too drastic of a change to ensure current and past customers would recognize them online. Modern fonts made all the difference.
We visited the Junction City base to get a better understanding of each helicopter and its function, and to interview John for content that would extend beyond what was on the old website. This included current information on services, their organization, as well as what was working for them on their old site.
We spent a bit of time researching competitor sites and like sites in other regions of the country. John was kind enough to provide us with some of his favorites. He also supplied us with a commercial to highlight and dozens of beautiful photographs, which worked perfectly as a feature on the home page and to “decorate” every page without the need for stock imagery.
Our goal was to create a clean, modern, mobile-friendly and well-optimized website that the client would be proud of. John is a man of few words but he was pleased with the end result. “It’s good.” from John Henderson is like “Holy cow that’s the best website ever!” from anyone else.
